Import of chicken banned
Gangtok, 9 May
Fearing the spread of unknown disease on poultry birds, the State Department of Animal Husbandry has banned entry of all kind of poultry birds and eggs from neighbouring West Bengal. Though the ban has come to effect from today, birds that had made entry in the State yesterday have also been sent back.
