PRASHANT'S DREAM RUN AT IDOL CONTINUES


GANGTOK, June 5: As Prashant Tamang from Darjeeling made it to the next round at the Indian Idol, support for him is gaining momentum all over the region.
The first Nepali-speaking singer from Darjeeling ever to make it this far in this popular talent hunt show, Prashant has found ardent supporters in Darjeeling Hills and Sikkim. More than 50 posters arguing people to vote in favour of Prashant have been pasted all over Rangpo town by the Cricket Alliance of Rangpo. A sms campaign is also making rounds here in Gangtok, with people circulating sms’ in support of Prashant.
This singing sensation’s fate on whether he will continue his Idol run will be decided tomorrow after the voting round today. Prashant sang “Aye kash ke hum hosh mein ab aane paaye,” originally sung by Kumar Sanu in the film, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.
