NAMCHI, November 15: At least three rape cases against minors have been registered in just one week.
Another rape case has been registered at Namchi Police Station against a 14-year old boy from Kazitar here on the compliant from the father of the victim.
On November 13, a seven year old minor girl was sexually assaulted by the boy who happened to be her neighbour. Immediately after the complaint was lodged, the Namchi Police arrested the accused. Today, the boy was produced before the CJM Namchi, South Sikkim. Being a minor himself, the accused was later sent for remand at the Juvenile home in Gangtok.
