Sir B.K. Pradhan Memorial Football Tournament regales Rongli crowd



RONGLI, AUGUST 2: Sir B.K. Pradhan Memorial Open Football Tournament reached its second day yesterday. Rongli Taxi Driver Association defeated Linkey 9 Bullet with four goals to nil. K.N Pradhan Former Zilla Adhakchya, East was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The tournament played at Melatar, Rongli is held in memory of B. K. Pradhan, father of Bikram Pradhan, Area MLA cum Chief Whip, Government of Sikkim. 28 teams are participating in the tournament that will be held till 15th of August. The tournament was inaugurated by Krishna Kumari Pradhan, mother of Bikram Pradhan on 1st of August. Also present on the occasion were Dhiraj Pradhan, Joint Secretary, HRDD, Bimal Dawari, Zilla Adhakchya, East and other distinguished guests. Nimachen defeated Aritar in the inaugural match.
On the same day, three newly nominated Chairmen, KB Chamling (State Bank of Sikkim), Puran Gurung (Denzong Cooperative Society) and Indra Pradhan (State Welfare Board) from Chujachen Constituency was given warm reception. They were offered Khadas by Bikram Pradhan, Area MLA cum Chief Whip, Government of Sikkim and others.
Bikram Pradhan speaking on the occasion has said the tournament in organised to boost the energy of the youth. The purpose will develop an opportunity for all to perform to their best and achieve laurels. He gave best wishes to all the team.
