SINGTAM, DECEMBER 15:
A friendly exhibition football match was held at Manjusri Public School ground
between Chisopani JHS and Manjusri Public School on December 13. The boys from the
host school went on to win the match with three goals to one. Karan Gurung went
on to score the lone goal for his Chisopani JHS; Rohit Bista scored two goals
for his home team while there was a self goal by the visiting school team.
Earlier in the first
half of the session, teachers and students of Manjusri Public School had
visited Chisopani JHS. This time around, more than two dozen Chisopani JHS’s students
had visited Manjusri Public School for an interschool exchange program. The
home school welcomed the students of Chisopani JHS with a musical program which
was highly appreciated by the visiting school’s students. Chisopani JHS was led
by Manu Hang Khewa, GT (Bio) and Yogesh Gurung, sports coach of the school.
Archery was introduced
for the first time at Manjusri Public School. The students and teachers of Chisopani
JHS demonstrated the new sport that was highly enjoyed by the host school.
Mrs. Wendy Pulger, Principal
of Manjusri Public School thanked the Chisopani JHS and said the Manjusri
School shall look forward for more events among the students in near future. The
prize distribution was done by Mr. Loday Chungyalpa, Chairman of Manjusri Public
School. The event was organised by Yozna Gurung and Kitu Rai, teachers of Manjusri
Public School.
