Sikkim Women Team lost two consecutive matches at the Senior Women’s One Day Cricket Trophy Tournament. They now face Bihar, Mizoram and Manipur.
Sikkim’s skipper Sarika Koli’s maiden unbeaten century went waste as Sikkim lost her match against the women team of Jammu and Kashmir. Batting first Sikkim women scored 188 in her 50 overs with the loss of nine wickets. Only Rinki Rajak and Purni Maya Gurung went on to score double figures. Four batsmen went on for a duck. Rubia Syed, J&K captain scored unbeaten 102 to successfully chase the target in 38 overs. She added 104 run partnership with Sarla Devi who added 44 runs. For Sikkim Tabita Subba scalped two wickets and Mariam took a single wicket.

In the next match Pondicherry defeated Sikkim by nine wickets. Sikkim got all out for her lowest score of 67. Seven Sikkim batsmen were out for a duck. Rinki, Tshring Ongmu and Purni Maya scored 26, 24 and 13 runs respectively. The opponent team eased the score in 16 overs with a loss of a single wicket.
