| A copy of CIA reports of Sikkim UFO sightings in 1968 |
UFO
sightings in Sikkim are rarely heard or reported but it was after the
declassification reports posted online by the Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA) one such report of UFO sightings of 1968 in the Himalayan region caught my interest. The report mentions the UFO activity of February-March 1968 in India/Nepal/Bhutan/China.
The sightings at Sikkim were recorded at Lachung,
Lachen, Thangu, Muguthang and Chholhamu on February 19, 1968. The
report reads the directions were North East to South West. The object
was giving light from the tail and it was not bright enough to brighten
the entire area. The thunder sound was heard at Chholhamu after the
sighting of the object.
So,
this is the first official sighting of UFOs in Sikkim, making it a point
that we were visited in the past and we have equal chances that ‘they’ might have been visiting us here and there.
