Sudhar Samiti conducted a plantation drive at Ranikhola walkway in
Shantinagar on the occasion of World Environment Day 2018. Present on
the occasion as special guests were Manzil Kharel, RO (Singtam Range)
and Roshan Rai, SHO (Singtam P.S) along with ward panchayat of
Shantinagar Deepa Chettri and members of SGSS.
Around 100 saplings were planted along the Ranikhola walkway after cleaning the area. Krishna
Chettri, President SGSS welcomed the guests in his speech and talked
about the importance of protecting our environment.

Manzil Kharel showed a demo of how to plant a sappling in a correct way
and also thanked SGSS for their effort. He also said these trees are
here because of our ancestors and therefore it is our responsibility to
plant trees and protect this environment for our future generation.

Roshan Rai appreciated the work of SGSS and emphasised on protecting
these sappling after its planted and provided his full support to do
so. Advisor L.N.Pradhan thanked the guests and the members of SGSS for their support and presence.
