On March 31, 2023, Sakyong Chisopani Junior High School hosted an awareness program on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative. In addition, it opened a new school playground. Notable people attended the event, including Mr Sotai Kri, the North East Swachh Bharat Mission Ambassador, and Mr Bimal Lamichaney, the Sikkim State Swachh Bharat Ambassador, Suresh Tamang, President, Singtam Nagar Panchayat, Sanjay Agarwal, Rangpo Nagar Panchayat Brand Ambassador, Praja Pradhan, Gangtok District Ambassador, MEO Singtam, Timku Adhikari, Singtam Brand Ambassador among others.  The program was designed to raise awareness about cleanliness and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative in schools. 04.09.22, Singtam: A cleanliness drive was organised along the National Highway 10 drainage opposite Shiloh Church, Pipal Dara Ward, Singtam. The initiative was done by Swachh Bharat Mission Sikkim State in collaboration with Shiloh Church, Singtam. On occasion were Bimal Lamichaney, Brand Ambassador Swachh Bharat Mission Sikkim State, Praja Pradhan, Gangtok District Coordinator, Sikkim Swachh Bharat Mission, Pastor Marvin Lepcha, Pastor Roshan Chettri and Dorcas Tamang, President and members of Singtam Shiloh Church.

Shri Bimal Lamichaney is the new Brand Ambassador of Sikkim Swachh Bharat Mission. In a recently held program at Dochum JHS   at 42-Sirwani GPU at Khamdong. Lamichaney was presented with an official letter from the hand of Shri Ganga Prasad, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, in the presence of Shri. Sotai Kri, Brand Ambassador, North East India. Shri Bimal Lamichaney is the former President of Sirwani Chisopani GPU. Shri Praja Pradhan was also announced as the Brand Ambassador of Gangtok District under Sikkim Swachh Bharat Mission on the same program.

SINGTAM, AUGUST 16: 68 TH Independence Day Celebration was held in a grand manner at Chisoani JHS, East Sikkim.  Contingent March Past, Inter-School Patriotic Dance Competition, Inter-School JHS Level Football Tournament, and other programs were held on the occasion.  Am Prasad Sharma (former MLA and Advisor Buildings & Housing Department) was the Chief Guest of the day.  Distinguished guests included Nirmal Cintury, Zilla Panchayat, Bimal Lamichaney & Sumitra Gurung, President & Vice President Sirwani Chisopani GPU, Navin Rai, former Zilla Panchayat, Dorjee Sherpa, Headmaster Ralap SS, and others.
