SINGTAM , NOVEMBER Members of Gorkha Ex-Servicemen's Welfare Association and Resettlement CO-OP. Society Ltd. conducted a sanitation program at the Primary Health Centre, Rongli , on October 30. The cleanliness drive was in support of the nationwide Swatchha Abhiyan .  The press release states that the members of the cleanliness drive were over the age of seventy. They cleaned the surroundings of the Rongli PHC and the roadside below.

PRESS RELEASE Paarijat Pragati Sangh of Pakyong Samsing conducted a day long cleanliness drive program in and around the Pakyong hospital campus on 09/06/2013, Sunday. The said program was conducted in presence of Dr.Tashi Pegay M.O. I/C PHC Pakyong and the club president Mr. B.N .Khatiwada. All the 35 members of said club were present and all the members of the club wholeheartedly performed the physical and manual task of cleanliness drive. The club observed the gardening program and removed all the unwanted weeds and grasses from the campus and also planted some plants around the surroundings to    make it a healthy environment for the patients. Finally, Dr. Pegay extended her heartfelt thanks to the members of the club during small meeting after accomplishing the cleaning program in hospital hall. Gangtok: District Administrative Centre (East) conducted a cleanliness drive from White Hall complex to Ranipool on February 26 with an objective to promote hygiene awareness amongst the people. The cleanliness drive was carried out at different places of Gangtok and Ranippol like Lal Bazaar area, Zero Point area and others. Urban Development and Housing Department, Forest Department, Civil Defence, NGOs and social workers of Gangtok took part in the drive.
