RONGLI, MAY 4 : Chujachen Sports Academy (CSA) too joined hands with rest of the social organisations from different part of the state in serving the society throughout the ongoing lock down phases. Since April 10, the members of CSA had been serving around 120 plates of Lunch and snacks to different sections of the people who are fighting against the Covid 19 pandemic.  Biren Gurung, General Secretary of CSA told that the organisation is committed for the social cause and shall serve the society till the lockdown ends. Each day members of CSA reaches to the offices of Rongli PHC, Rongli Police Station, SDM, Food & Supply, Central Bank of India, SISCO and State Bank of Sikkim. They also provided foods for the daily wage labours and vegetable vendors, reads the press release.  Chujachen Sports Academy was formed in 2014 and had been providing platforms for young and budding players in different sporting fields of the region.

APRIL 6:   GANGTOK : The Sikkim government launched a portal ( www.covid19sikkim.org ) for circulating information on coronavirus outbreak at Tashiling Secretariat. Geyzing Girls SSS is made the isolation center where five persons were kept who had returned from outside the state. As I listen to the news of Prince Charles of Wales, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and others getting affected by coronavirus, I am worried about my small Sikkim. More than 190 countries are fighting against this deadly virus that started in Wuhan, China, at the beginning of January. We at Sikkim are blessed that we haven’t had any positive cases till now. On March 16, the state government came forward with a prominent decision to combat this pandemic disease.
