Singtam gathers to welcome HH Dalai Lama (1956)

This screenshot is from a 4-second video clip from the video of HH the   Dalai Lama 's visit to the Kingdom of  Sikkim  (1956). The photograph shows the escort vehicle entering  Singtam  and the gathered people prepared to welcome the His Highness Dalai Lama. The hour-long documentary of Tibetan Community Channel shows he was welcomed at different places of Sikkim on the route to  Gangtok , where there was a royal welcome.

04.05.21: Newly elected councilors of Singtam and Rangpo Nagar Panchayat were given oath at Community Hall, Singtam by Mr. Tushar G. Nikhare (IAS) ADC, East District. Other officials included Himmat Rai- SDM/RPO, Prakash Kharel- MEO/ Singtam Rangpo, Rajen Rai/OS, Biren Rai/BI, Santa Gurung SHO/Singtam and staff members of Singtam Nagar Panchayat were presence. International cricket player Jemimah Rodrigues does webinar with Sikkim Women’s Players

GANGTOK, APRIL 30:   Jemimah Rodrigues, an India Cricketer and member of Senior Women’s Team of India hosts a webinar organised by Sikkim Cricket Association for Women’s team of Sikkim. She has played 16 one day internationals and 43 Twenty20 Internationals for India and is one of the regular members of Indian Women’s team. During her one-hour webinar she shared her experience with our players and said that “dreams do come true”, all we need to do is work hard to make a dream come reality. All the players attending the webinar felt honoured, motivated and thanked SICA for conducting such programs for women players.
