Gangtok, December 1: The
Border Trade through Nathula
Trade Route started from
6th July 2006 and ended
on 29th September 2006,
last year. The traders had
expressed certain
problems and
accordingly, the State
Government took up the matter
with Government of India
to make this route a major
avenue for economical and
multifaceted development
from the current
year 2007.
The
Government revised the
duration of trade from 1st
May to 30th November 2007,
it also increased the CIF
value of a single consignment
from Rs.25.000/- to
Rs.1.lakh and in
lieu of pan number,
sales Tax certificate was
allowed.

trading at the
border for the two
years are as follows:
The Border Trade
for the current
year closed on 29th
November 2007.
