Two Sikkimese footballers in England exposure trip

GANGTOK, September 1:
Ashish Chhetri and Bigendra Rai from Sikkim, who are the part of India U-16 Indian National Football Team, as a part of its preparation for the AFC U-17 Championship finals in Uzbekkistan, left Mumbai today for Manchester for a 9 day exposure trip to England.
During the tour, the team will play two practice matches against the youth teams of premiership clubs Everton FC (Sept 4) and Manchester United (Sept 9). Telecom major AIRTEL is sponsoring the team and its exposure trips.
Earlier in July, the team had had a three week camp in the West Virginia in the United States of America.
Sikkim Football Association (SFA) has congratulated to the Sikkimese duo for being a part of the exposure trip and said that such an international exposure will surely going to help the Indian football team in days to come, informs a press release from SFA general secretary Menla Ethenpa.
