Paan Singh Tomar was a strange name for a Hindi film to me when I read about it in a newspaper a few months back.  The fact that I have been a fan of Irrfan Khan since his  Banegi Apni Baat  days made it obvious for me to watch this movie, and as the name suggested, I was sure I might have something very different to watch. Story of an athlete of a world-class, seven times national champions at Steeple Chase in the 50s and 60s, a participant at the 1958 Tokyo Asian Games and his journey as a “baaghi” as Irrfan Khan playing Paan Singh Tomar repeats in the movie is the backdrop of the story.  No doubt Paan Singh Tomar, the persona, is the winner of the movie, a sportsman who faded with time and, despite bringing laurels to the nation, was forced to rise against the law. Dalapchand, March 23: Generous Student Dalapchand Secondary School, a student forum of Dalapchand SS in association with Badhaichha Creation, Singtam observed the World Water Day at the school premises yesterday. Two hour short program had Inter-House Speech and Quiz Competition related to water topics. Present on the occasion was ST Bhutia, Headmaster of the school, his staff and Praveen Pradhan, Managing Director of Badhaichha Creation.   Prizes for the story writing competition organized by Red Ribbon Club Spark NGO, Singtam were also distributed.   Prakash Poudhyal, CRC Coordinator and teacher of the school was the host of the day while Sonam Dorjee Bhutia, GT (Bio) was the Quiz Master. Sushma Dahal with Johny Rai I first wrote about Sushma Dahal in 2009 and i said about her "She is the next big thing to happen in the music industry from Sikkim" in one of my blog post. I have seen her grow as a singer and i am happy to see her success. Sushma Dahal, a student from Chujachen SSS won the singing competition of Sargam Sikkim yesterday at Jorethang.  From a small time school function singer to the winner of  " Pratibha Ko Khoj" some year back i had been associated with Sushma Dahal. To see her reach this stage i am very happy. Without doubt i would like to mention the names of three person Praveen Pradhan, Kushal Pradhan and Buren Gurung from Rongli for believing the talent of Sushma and supporting her in her earlier days.
