Sikkim Girl Ismita Rai wins Miss Teen Himalaya Worldwide 2019 at Delhi

Born to Hemant Rai and Tshering Lhmu Sherpa, Ismita Rai made the state of Sikkim proud when she won the double title of Miss Teen Himalaya Worldwide 2019 & Miss Teen Himalaya Global 2019 at a pageant competition held at Hotel Metro Views, Karol Bagh, Delhi. Student of Class X studying at Bahai’s School, Tadong; She resides at Developmental Area, Gangtok.




Always interested in doing cosmetic makeover she says dancing is her main passion.  The beauty pageant happened all of a sudden and she wasn’t at all prepared for it. She got the news of the competition through social media and her interest took her to Delhi. Fifteen aspiring models from different parts of the country had participated in the competition and it was really tough, as all were equally good. Self-belief played an important factor in winning the titles, adds Rai.

Her parents are her idols to which she had been looking up in her ups and down. She dreams to become a successful model in coming years and make her parent and the state proud.
