PushpakaVimana of Ravan
had always created curiosity upon me since the first time I saw it on
television some 32 years back. The chariot that helped Ravan kidnap Sita. The
flying chariots as most of kings used as shown in Ramayan series had horses,
winged horses, swan and birds pulling it but Pushpaka Vimana was different no
animal attached to it. This chariot gave me wings to look for things beyond
thought and imagine.
In later years, I found
stories related to Pushpaka Vimana in webpages with its name mentioned in
religious verses. No matter was it real or an imaginary, the vimana still holds
a special place in Ramayan. It was in this chariot that Ram and his associate returns
to Ayodhya after killing Ravan.
