SINGTAM, July 13: Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti felicitated Regan
Chettri, upcoming Nepali cinema talent from Singtam at the 206th
Bhanu Jayanti.in a short program attended by Dr. MK Sharma, Area MLA cum Health
Minister as a Chief Guest. Ramayan and Poetry recitations were the highlight of
the day. Personalized mask of the Samiti was also released by the Chief Guest
on the day.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. MK Sharma appreciated the efforts of the organization in celebrating the Bhanu Jayanti. He further said we all should come together to work for the betterment of language. Popular journalist Nandu Dutraj was the Guest of Honour of the day. Other distinguish guests included Nepali literary figure RK Shrestha, officials from Singtam Police Department and Forest Department and others.
Krishna Chettri, in his welcome address said SGSS had
been observing the Bhanu Jayanti since last three years and this time too
during the COVID 19 scenario we took suggestions from our senior advisors and
tried to come up with a small program.
Tara Pradhan and Nishan Dulal recited phrases from the chapters of Ramayan Path; Anand Chettri, Anand Lamichaney and Ayushman Chettri recited Nepali poems while Sushmita Pradhan and Ishmita Pradhan performed in a Nepali folk dance song. Regan Chettri was felicitated for his success in Nepali cinema at Kathmandu as an actor, lyricist and a musician.
