It was a monkey day out at Shantinagar for few days, a monkey escaped from the nearby forest and had been making merry at Shantinagar, a kilometer from Singtam. The monkey even entered our kitchen through the window and messed up the vegetables from the table rack. I was told that in the morning my wife had to hide herself into the 'mandir room' along with my three year old daughter. The people who had the close encounter told that is an entangled mark at the neck of the poor animal and could be that the animal had escape for his life.
