Palzor Tamang scores 103* in 75 balls at Sikkim's First Two-Tier Club Tournament

30.10.20, Gangtok: Palzor Tamang, Captain of Black Eagle (SAP) scored 103 not out from 75 balls against Royal North Brothers at the ongoing Sikkim's First Two-Tier Club Tournament. In the gem of the inning, he hit 12 fours and four sixes.

He became the first batsman to hit a century at the Knock Out Round of the ongoing Sikkim's First Two-Tier Club Tournament. In the gem of the inning he hit 12 fours and four sixes. Black Eagle (SAP) successfully chased the target of 171 runs in 28.1 overs with the loss of seven wickets. Palzor Tamang was named the Man of the Match.

A player to watch out.. just look out his scores 28, 76, 46, 69, 59 and 103*. He has hit 33 fours and 23 sixes in this six innings and has also taken 10 wickets.

East Point SSS student scores “Perfect 10” in CBSE 10th results

--> Singtam, May 28: It was a golden day for the East Point SSS at Golitar, Singtam where one of its students Navin Kumar Trivedi scored a “perfect 10” in this year CBSE 10 th examination results. Navin Kumar Trivedi hailing from Singtam bazaar had scored the highest Grade Point i.e. “10” along with “A1” Grade in each of the five subjects he had undergone. His subjects include English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. According to the newly introduced grading system “Grade Point 10” is given to the students who scores between 91 marks to 100 marks. Ten students from EPSSS had scored first division while the school pass percentage is 90 % with no failed students. LENDUP DORJEE KHANGSARPA : The First Chief Minister of Sikkim (1975-1979)

Popularly known as L. D. Kazi, became the first Chief Minister of Sikkim in 1975 thus ending over three century old monarchy system. He became the 1st Chief Minister of Sikkim on 14 MAY, 1975 - 17 AUGUST, 1979. He was born in 1904 in Pakyong, East District. A fonuder President of Sikkim Praja Mandal, established in 1946. Later he became the President of Sikkim State Congress and held the post till 1958. In 4th general election held in 1970, Kazi was appointed an Executive Councilor and was assigned the portfolio of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Transport Authority. Under his presidency in 1973, the united party secured 31 out of 32 seats of State Assembly and became the first Chief Minister of Sikkim in 1974. He was married to Elisa-Maria Standford in 1968, daughter of a Belgian father and German mother who left her Scottish husband in Burma and married LD Kaji in Delhi in 1957.
