Nirmal Mangar is a Sikkim State Awardee in the field of journalism (2007). Winner of Ram Patro Memorial Award (2007) and Lagansheel Patrakarita Purushkar (2018).
He had been associated with Sikkim Express, The Telegraph, Doordarshan and All India Radio. Presently, he is the Founder and Editor-in-chief of the Sikkim Chronicle, one of the popular online digital news platforms in Sikkim.
