The distinguished nurse was recently honoured with the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2023, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field of healthcare. 



Led by Bhaju Gopal Pradhan, President of NBB, the executive team expressed their utmost pride in Meyju Ambika Pradhan's outstanding accomplishment. In a symbolic gesture of respect and admiration, she was presented with traditional khadas and also offered a beautifully crafted Buddha statue, symbolizing enlightenment and peace. Meyju. Ambika Pradhan humbly accepted the gestures and expressed her gratitude to the organization. 

Members of NBB said, her dedication to providing quality healthcare services and making a positive impact on the lives of numerous patients has been an inspiration to all. Every community in Sikkim takes immense pride in her exceptional achievements. This was a national song of Sikkim sung in the Nepali language during the monarchy system. During the merger with India, the song got banned and later re-released. Two words on the 8th para, which earlier said 'Rajah rah Rani,' were replaced with "Janmah bhumi."     This song was dedicated to the King and Queen of Sikkim.
