First Nepali literary Website launched from Sikkim


It is a pioneering effort of a group of a persons led by Parasmani Dungyal that a website under the domain of www.tistarangit.com was launched and inaugurated by Minister S.B. Subedi at Press Club of Sikkim, Gangtok on May 13 in a function. This website is hoisted by Sahtitya Srijana Co-operative Ltd.Gangtok. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Subedi expressed that following the hoisting of Nepali literarty magazine through web, the people all over the world can better understand the literary activities and other aspect of Sikkim and Indian Nepalis. Principal Registrar of Co-operation Department who presided over the function highlighted the importance of cooperative movement world over and stressed to work with better co-operation in every field including literature and arts.Shri Paras Mani Dungal highlighted the importance of the launching of website. In the function, poetry was also recited by Pravin Khaling,Arjun Yawa, Yunis Rai and Diwas Pega. The programme was conducted by Shri Rudra Poudyel. The diginitaries and literary personalities who were present on the occasion were Shri C.D. Rai, Dr. Shanti Chhetri, Dr. Rajendra Bhandari, Shri Subash Deepak and others.
