STERILIZATION OF STRAY DOG

The department of animal husbandry in collaboration with friends of animal club, a foreign-based NGO is conducting sterilization program for stray dog throughout Sikkim. Stray dogs are being administered de-worming and anti-rabies vaccination also.
The program started under animal health program will continue for four months. it has so far successfully sterilized over one thousand male and female dogs.
Animal health program officer Dr. Phurba Sherpa is being assisted by Dr. Atte from Australia, Dr. Nova from Israel, Dr. Jess and Dr Eddy. Besides them an Irish nurse Anderson is also volunteering in this program.
