SGSS prepares for 72nd Independence Day

SINGTAM, AUGUST 5 : Members of Shantinagar Goan Sudhar Samiti held a meeting to assign responsibilities for members in the upcoming 72^nd Independence Day celebration. It was further decided that Men Doubles Open Badminton Tournament for the Men Doubles shall be introduced during the national event. Other important program on the big day would include patriotic based cultural programs.

The meeting also had a Bhanju Jayanti celebration thanks-giving program where four individuals was offered khadas and memento. Those individual included Mrs. Renu Sharma, Mr. Shyam Rai, Mr. LN Pradhan and Mr. Kamal Gurung.  The badminton tournament would be played in an outdoor court maintained by Shantinagar Goan Sudhar Samiti nearby Rani Khola river at Shantinagar. Our samiti has this time opted to celebrate Independence Day with Badminton which could add a new initiative, added Krishna Chettri, President, Shantinagar Goan Sudhar Samiti.
