The camp was organized by Navudaya Sangh, a local organization of Shantinagar, Singtam and was sponsored by AIDS Cell from Gangtok. The personage attending the function included members of Navudaya Sangh, the AIDS Cell from Gangtok and the locals of the nearby areas.  The larger section of the assemblage included the girls in their teens. Speakers at the function narrated in detail the preventive measures to be taken, the role of women in the campaign against AIDS, the medical assistance offered to AIDS patients etc. The talk of the programme included different views on AIDS and discussed about the growing drug addiction among youth. SINGTAM, DECEMBER 19:  Singtam Basibiyalo and Singtam Newar Kalyan Sangathan had jointly congratulated Praveen Pradhan, Managing Director Badhaichha Creation, Singtam for being felicitated by the Sikkim State Aids Control Society at MG Marg, Gangtok. Praveen Pradhan, President RRC Badhaichha Creation, Singtam was felicitated for his outstanding contribution towards HIV/AIDS awareness camapign on the inaugural day of the two day long Red Ribbon Carnival 2013. Praveen Pradhan had thanked the officials of Sikkim State Aids Control Society for giving him an opportunity to work for better society. SINGTAM, SEPTMBER 24:  Youth Intervention under Multi Media Campaign 2013-14 for the schools of East Sikkim started from Chisopani JHS today. The program was organized by Red Ribbon Club Badhaichha Creation under Sikkim State AIDS Control Society, Gangtok.  Present on the occasion was Mahesh Dahal, Headmaster Chisopani JHS and his staff along with Mohan Pradhan, Headmaster Sawney Primary School who was invited by the Chisoani JHS as a guest for the programme. The team of RRC Badhaichha Creation and SSACS visited Chisopani JHS and interacted with the students. They organized different competition for the students. The competition included Painting, Slogan and interaction games on the themes of HIV/ AIDS and Drug Abuse. The winners were presented prizes at the end of the programme. SINGTAM : SPARK, a local NGO from Singtam observed World Aids Day today with an AIDS awareness campaign educating the general public of Singtam On the occasion, the members of SPARK interacted with the common people on the streets of Singtam; distributed pamphlets and posters. More than 280 red ribbons were tied by the members of the NGO to the general public. Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Pradhan, President SPARK told that, entire globe is fighting against this dreaded disease and if we can contribute in educating people about AIDS it can be a significant contribution. RONGLI: Sangharsh , a local NGO from Rongli organised an AIDS awareness campaign at Rongli Bazaar to educate the general public on the occasion of world HIV/AIDS Day today. The day long program was supervised by Red Ribbon Club, Gangtok. On the occasion, the members of Sangharsh interacted with the common people on the streets of Rongli; distributed pamphlets and posters. A red ribbon symbolizing “AIDS” was also tied to the people. Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Pradhan, President Sangharsh told that, it is high time for people around to be made aware and educate about the significance of the increasing rate of AIDS patients throughout the globe. We should not discriminate those patients but should appreciate and help them fight the disease. We the members of Sangharsh are dedicated and devoted towards the welfare of the society, told Pradhan.
