Bhanu Udhyan Sanrakshan Samiti formed

12.12.22:  In the presence of different representatives of Singtam, Bhanu Udhyan Sanrakshan Samiti, a committee was formed on December 12, 2020. The Committee with the support and consultation of different government bodies would maintain and safeguard the popular Bhanu Park of Singtam. Rohit Raj Maharaj, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sikkim presided over the meeting held at the premises of Bhanu Udhyan. Executive members of the newly formed committee were also nominated on the day. Hon’ble Area MLA, Shri Rohit Raj Maharaj, Councillors of Singtam Nagar Panchayat and Shri Raghubir Agarwal were made the Chief Partons. Coordination meeting for Singtam Bhanu Jyanti held

Singtam, 11.06.22: The fifth coordination meeting for the upcoming Bhanu Jayanti celebration was held under the chairmanship of Shri Rohitraj Maharaj, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sikkim. The highlight of the meeting was the installation of a new copper life-size statue of Bhanu Bhakta and a matter of beautification of the entire complex at the Bhanu Udhyan. Present on the occasion were Suresh Tamang, President, Singtam Nagar Panchayat, Kishore Chettri, Councillor, Singtam Nagar Panchayat, KB Chettri, Joint Director, Sub Divisional Education Department, LN Pradhan, Durga Adhikari, Raghubir Agarwal, Mahesh Dahal and others. The copper statue of the late poet shall be installed at the opposite end of the existing Bhanu Bhakta bust. Today's meeting passed the resolution wherein Shri LN Pradhan, Shri PP Upretti and Shri Durga Adhikari shall supervise the entire work of the Bhanu Udhyan. Singtam’s Heritage

My outlook towards the Heritage Management Seminar-2 Singtam’s Heritage One of the interesting topics of the day (at Two Days Seminar on Strategy for Heritage Management for Sikkim organised by the Cultural Department at Denzong Residency) I really enjoyed was about the talk on Cultural Resource Mapping of Sikkim beautifully presented before the listeners. To be serious I never knew much about this till that day. The objectives of cultural resource management are the preservation, conservation and enhancement of cultural resources. Since being a student of Sikkim History, the topic of preservation and conservation too holds an important terms in my dictionary. While going through the presentation I was talking within myself did it featured the four historical landmark of Singtam.
