Rekape Primary School observed World Environment Day 2018 in its own small scale way.To mark the occasion the school installed waste baskets totally made up of bamboo products around the school campus. The baskets which are organic in nature was donated by a good Samaritan from Mumbai, Sudipta mukherjee Mandal , on behalf of her mother in law , who was very impressed by the effort of the school children and teachers towards cleanliness awareness and practices . Mrs. Mandal is a facilitator on behalf of Temi Tea, for CHALAMTHANG. To work towards making it the cleanest organic village and Eco tourism destination. She works in the areas of community development, skill development and cohesion, and is a community artist who is in Sikkim right now .
