The U25 Men’s team of Sikkim wins their match against Mizoram by 9 wickets today at Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo  in the Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy . Mizoram won the toss and choose to bat first and in the first innings Sikkim thrashed the opponent and restricted them to a total of 60 runs. MD Talim took 5 wickets conceding just 22 runs in 11 overs. Sikkim made 161 runs in the first innings where Saurav Kr Prasad made 33 runs, Anwesh Karan Sharma 31, Arun Chettri 21, Ingsho Limboo 19, and Pranesh Chettri 16. In the second innings, Sikkim built the pressure on the opponent by taking early wickets and were all-out for 135 runs giving the target of just 35 runs to win. Sikkim defeated Manipur by 8 wickets in its first-ever Ranji Trophy match held on the soil of Sikkim. The two captains of the Sikkim Cricket Team and the Manipur Cricket Team There were many personal bests from the match, Nilesh Lamichanay scoring 74 (113) with 13 fours was a gem of the inning and won him Man of the Match .   The Duleep Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition played in India. It was earlier played between five Indian zonal teams – North Zone, South Zone , East Zone , West Zone and Central Zone on a knock-out basis. Sikkim ’s Ankur Mallik 's eight-wicket hauls in both the innings helped the Sikkim U-25 team defeat Arunachal Pradesh with 248 runs in the ongoing Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy held at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha . The Under 25 Men’s team of Sikkim registered yet another victory and a consecutive win in “Col. C. K. Nayudu Trophy” , defeating Nagaland on their third match of the league round by 174 runs today at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.   Sikkim won the toss and elected to bat first. In the first innings, Sikkim scored 394 runs, where Ankur Mallik played a record-breaking knock of 225 runs, Suraj Gupta (40), Arun Chettri (38), Anwesh Karan Sharma (29), Rahul Kumar (18), and Robin Limboo (16) not-out. SICA President Shri Lobzang G Tenzing inaugurated the double concrete cricket pitch constructed at Legship, West Sikkim The program was wonderfully organized by Legship Cricket Club and its members. The program was attended by Zilla Panchayat Member Shri. Bal Bahadur Rai who has continuously supported the cricket fraternity in the locality. He was instrumental in the construction, preparation of the playground. The ground is fully equipped to accommodate local sporting programs.  Cricket in Sikkim has seen exponential growth in the last several years through SICA’s continuous effort and with individuals like Shri Bal Bahadhur Rai and active members of LCC supporting the Association, the future seems even brighter for the young players and children of the State.

Sikkim played in its second match of the ongoing Ranji Trophy at Eden Gardens, Kolkata against Bihar from 24 th  February to 27 th  February 2022. The match which seemed dominated by Bihar in its first innings turned the other way around which saw Sikkim take the first-innings lead gaining 3 point(s) and drawing the match. Sikkim won the toss and chose to field first. In the first innings,  Bihar declared their innings with a total of 431 runs for the loss of 9 wickets . The Under 19 Men’s Team of Sikkim is currently playing Cooch Behar Trophy (multi-day tournament) and in their second match against Meghalaya, they won the match by 31 runs, earning 6 points.   Meghalaya won the toss and choose to field first. In the first innings, Sikkim scored 172 runs where Roshan Prasad scored 41 runs, Ankur Malik 32, MD Arif 29, Purna Bdr Bhattrai 26, Tarun Sharma 21 and Arun Chettri 10 runs. With one match to go in the league round of the tournament Sikkim is leading the point(s) table with 16 point(s). Nagaland won the toss and choose to field first. In the first innings, Sikkim scored 143 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. 30.09.21 :  The Under 19 Women’s One Day Tournament has begun and Sikkim played its first match today against Jammu & Kashmir at Railway Stadium , Bhubaneshwar , Odisha and won the match by 3 wickets in just 28 overs, earning 4 point(s). BCCI’s domestic season 2020-22 started with Sikkim defeating Mizoram by huge margin of 152 runs. Batting first at Ranchi , the Sikkim boys posted a score of 247 runs in 43 overs with Arun Chettri and Ankur Malik scoring 58 and 64 runs respectively. Malik had a terrific day with the bowl too, he too seven wickets with a hattrick , rest three wickets was taken by the Captain, Tarun Sharma . Sikkim Cricket Association hosts its new season of the Khangchendzonga shield Division A League for the Clubs of Sikkim . This year though SICA has added high level guest teams in the roster. The President SICA, Mr Lobzang G Tenzing hopes to achieve this exact objective, to galvanise the current players in Sikkim by providing a platform of exposure to top quality cricket without having to leave the State. GANGTOK, March 21: On the second day of the ongoing ‘B’ Division League of Khangchendzonga Shield Men’s 2021 at Reshithang, Gangtok, the match was played between Cricket Association of Tatangchen (C. A. T.) and Challengers Cricket Club, Singtam. The toss was won by C. A. T. and opted to bat first. In the first innings, they scored 205 runs with the loss of 6 wickets in 30 overs. Gangtok, March 20, 2021: After successful completion of the ‘C’ Division League of Khangchendzonga Shield Men’s 2021 in all four districts of Sikkim by Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA), now the association has initiated the ‘B’ Division League from today at Reshithang Khel Goan, Gangtok. A total of 10 teams from all over Sikkim will be competing in two pools. In Pool A – Sledzers Cricket Club, Challengers Cricket Club, Cricket Association of Tathangchen, Royal Daragoan Cricket Club, and Shaft Cricket Club, will be competing against each other in Reshithang Khel Goan, Gangtok. Pool B – Melli Cricket Club, United Soreng Cricket Club, Majhitar Sporting Club, Dentam Cricket Academy and Irises Cricket Club will be competing at Jorethang Public Ground.
