Dalapchand SS mourns the first anniversary of 18/9 Sikkim Earthquake

DALAPCHAND, SEPTEMBER 18: Dalapchand SS observed two minute silence on its school assembly to mourn the first anniversary of Sikkim Earthquake today. ST Bhutia, Headmaster of the school informed the students about the natural disaster that crippled the Himalayan state of Sikkim, last year. UN Mishra, senior teacher of the school also spoke on the occasion. Generous Students, a student forum of the Dalapchand SS had helped distribute blankets to the earthquake affected areas of Rongli, Dalapchand, Pacha, Deoling and Chandaney. Sangam Rai student said we felt sorry for those who lost their lives and we all pray for their soul. Prabha Sharma, student added we are together with the affected families and we wish such moments never repeat in days to come.

Generous Students Dalapachand SS visits Rolep

DALAPCHAND, JUNE 14: Generous Students of Dalapchand Secondary School yesterday visited the landslide affected areas of Rolep. The six boy’s students accompanied by three teachers CD Rai, SD Bhutia and Shital Pradhan met the affected families and offered deep condolence and sorrow towards the untimely death of their families. The Generous Students also handed over a sum of Rs 3220 towards the Rolep Relief Fund to the Area MLA who had also came to Rolep with relief resources for the affected families. Generous Students of Dalapchand Secondary School is a student forum of Dalapchand SS that had been actively participating at social help since its formation last year. Last year, this forum had played an active role in the distribution of blankets during 18/9 Sikkim Earthquake at different areas of Rongli.

Sikkim State Bank Employees sponsors blankets to 28 EQ affected families

  RONGLI, DECEMBER 14:  Two days of blanket distribution for the Sikkim earthquake-affected families at Dalapchand regions and Pacha regions was conducted on December 13 and 14.  The blankets sponsored by the Sikkim State Bank Employees Coordination Committee were helped by SPARK NGO from Singtam and Generous Students Dalapchand Secondary School in distributing those blankets.  SPARK NGO from Singtam has been helping the Sikkim Earthquake victims. Earlier, they had brought two separate Delhi teams to Sikkim and helped earthquake-affected families. Praveen Pradhan, President of SPARK NGO, along with its members Shital Pradhan, Sunita Gurung, Prakash Sundas, and Firoze Lohagun from Singtam, visited the earthquake-affected families of Deoling, Chandaney, and Lower Dalapchand on December 13. St. Stephen College, Delhi joins hand with Spark NGO

For Chandaney Earthquake Rehabilitation   SINGTAM : A two-day Sikkim Earthquake Rehabilitation work was done by 13 member team from St. Stephen College , Delhi accompanied by Praveen Pradhan, President SPARK NGO from Singtam at Chandaney, under Dalapchand GPU on November 2 - 3. The team of Delhi College headed by Miss Richa Raj, lecturer and staff advisor from “Social Service League” distributed and installed seven tents for the seven affected family members. Richa Raj along with 12 other college students had reached Gangtok on November 1 on their maiden visit to Sikkim. The next day they left for Chandaney where they met the local villagers and expressed their desire to help them.
