State of the Art Indoor Facility, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool for SICA

After the inclusion of Northeast States as the full member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2018, Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) is working tirelessly for the development of infrastructure in the State. Impressed by the functioning of SICA in terms of Cricket development, Sikkim was the first State among the new full members to whom the BCCI sanctioned the development of a proper cricket ground, of which the first phase has already been completed and functioning properly.   In the recent visit of the BCCI Secretary Mr. Jay Shah to Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, he was impressed the way SICA is working and appreciated the way SICA is maintaining its budget and felt that there is an urgent need of developing the indoor facilities as the state has a long monsoon and the players are unable to practice properly and sets them back when the season starts in September. Sikkim Cricketers Selected For Senior NCA Camp 2019

PRESS RELEASE The Senior Men’s & Women’s camp for the North East States 2019 will be conducted at Imphal, Manipur and Shillong, Meghalaya respectively from 10 th April to 4 th May 2019 by the National Cricket Academy (NCA), BCCI. Four Ranji players Nilesh Lamichaney, Ashish Thapa, Lee Yong Lepcha and Bibek Diyali from Sikkim have been selected for men’s camp and five senior women players Dichen Ongmu Lepcha, Sunita Rai, Purni Maya Gurung, Pranita Chettri and Tshering Ongmu Lepcha have been selected for women’s camp by the All India Selection Committee.
