SIKKIM EXPRESS REPORTS RANGPO, March 02: A utility vehicle number SK-03-3282 plying from Rangpo to Gangtok loaded with pigs met with an accident near Golitar under Singtam Police Station at 6.30 today evening and claimed a life. The driver of the vehicle, Gopal Rai died on the spot while another person, who was seriously injured was taken to the nearby Singtam hospital. He was later referred to Central Referral Hospital, Tadong. Police have sent the dead body for post mortem and have registered the case under section 279/334/307. The reason behind the accident is still not clear. Police are investigating the matter.
