On 31 st Dec , 2011, the book, The First Step, Pahilo Paila poetry book was realized by Kumar Subba, Chairman Dimapur Gorkha Union at Bamunphukuri . in his speech he asserted that the young youths should pose good literary works. Rupak himself highlighted the Difficulties of the Gorkha community in the North East Area Especially Dimapur, through the means of his write-ups in Gorkha magazines, Blogs, and Newspapers. H e is Associated with  Bureau Chief for Sapparivar and Gorkha Times. He devoted his time to doing communal jobs in the fields of Social  Work and when I describe his poems, I must say he is doing good with vision. I am very happy to learn that my very good friend, my colleague of Weekend Review days Yishey D has come up with a book on Lepcha folk tales “Legends of the Lepchas”. I was going through an article from the book "The British, The Bandits And The Bordermen," and there is something I could not stop myself from sharing with my readers. It is an interesting anecdote; it could have been more serious then, but I could not let off my smile from it while reading it now. The book is more of a biographical account of Border Security Force's founder-director general, K F Rustamji.  The book is based on more than 3,500 pages of Rustamji's diaries, and the articles present first-person accounts of some of the tumultuous developments, such as the partition, Chinese aggression, and the Indo-Pak war. One of the articles writes about a unique gift Jawaharlal Nehru received on his 70th birthday from Madhya Pradesh Police. The gift was nothing more than news " of the death of the dreaded dacoit Gabbar Singh, who went on to achieve cult status post-Sholay." Twice, I visited Pemayangtse Monastery, but when I got to read the century-old books about the place, the romance of those words was different. These days I am following Sir Richard Temple's visit to the Himalayan state of Sikkim in 1875 and his works about the Pemayangtse Monastery is just poetry. I appreciate those visitors who really tried their best to keep the correct pronunciation of the native places, rivers, mountains, and others to the closest best. Sir Richard Temple wrote "Pemyangchi" for the more popular Pemayangtse as it is known as better known worldwide. In the English language, as in recent English proficiency training concluded at Gangtok, Saroza Pradhan, my English resource person, taught me that in phonetic English, "ts" sounds as "ch," which makes the sound of Pemayang-"ts"e as Pemyang-"ch"i. I wanted someone to write on the book Don't Ask Any Old Bloke For Directions but never found any, the book is something i too wish to read and for some time had been hanging around my fantasy. Out here in Singtam, i do not find people wasting time flipping around quality books only flashy magazines rocks here. It was a sudden meeting with my former senior colleague Serah Basnet of Weekend Review days all thanks to the beautiful Facebook that she send me a link from a page published in The Hindu which might be of interest to many. In earlier post i had shared a similar review on the very book written in one of the web page which to me wasn't a pleasing reading still i gave a try, at least some one would come up with a better review. But i believe like me they might not had gone through it or could be they did not find my post worth commenting. Out of no where i found a comment from some Anonymous. I bought Sikkim's history for a rupee. I might sound crazy, but I am not. It is a rather fascinating incident that happened sometime back in Singtam, my hometown. I was in one of the newspaper shops looking for old magazines for my self-made library when the title of a mouse-munched Hindi novel caught my attention. "Jagat ki Sikkim Yatra," which is "Jagat's Journey to Sikkim" in English, was a wonderful discovery for me.  The title of the book was enough to capture my imagination and my curiosity, even though I am not a fan of novel reading. After reading each page of the book, I was amazed by the content of the document. Even though the book states that its story and character are coincidental, the entire theme portrays the 1973 merger of Sikkim.
