Singtam, January 26:  Photographic Society of Sikkim, Singtam has thanked the organizing committee of Mazhitar Food and Drink Festival 2016 for an opportunity to showcase the photographic talent of their members. The three-day event had provided a much-needed boost for the young Society. A membership drive was also conducted at the event, informed Milan Sharma, General Secretary through the press release. Prashant Tamang, Indian Idol winner, Remanti Rai, Sikkim State Awardee, Damber Nepali, famed singer from Nepal was among the artists who wrapped up the closing night of the three-day-long Mazhitar Food and Drink 2016 held at Mazhitar SS’s ground.  The combination of music and food supported by innovative glimpses of West Pandam Constituency made a huge impact on the people of Mazhitar and beyond. Majhitar Food & Drink Festival 2016 is  gaining popularity in the national and state level after its formal announcement by the public  of the West Pendam Constituency under the Chief Patron of Hon’ble Minister Tourism & Aviation Shri Ugen T. Gyatso. KINEMA This food is popular in Sikkim and is made from soya beans by boiling and fermenting. It has a pungent smell and can be eaten as a condiment or tarkari (curry) with bhat (rice).
