14.04.26: East Point Senior Secondary School, in technical collaboration with the Sikkim Chess Association (SCA), successfully hosted the inaugural 1st East Point Inter-School Rapid Chess Tournament 2026 today. The event saw a massive turnout of nearly 300 students representing 30 schools from across the region, gathered to compete in a showcase of intellectual skill and discipline. 17.08.25, Singtam: Students of Knight Chess Academy, Singtam delivered an outstanding performance at the Inter-School Chess Tournament 2025 held at TNSSS, Gangtok , securing multiple podium finishes across various age categories in both boys’ and girls’ sections. Representing schools across the region, our academy players showcased not only skill and strategy but also exemplary sportsmanship. The 1st Darjeeling, Sikkim, and Kalimpong Inter School Chess Tournament, organized by the Logical Chess Academy, Darjeeling, concluded successfully on July 16, 2023. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from young chess players across the region. On behalf of Singtam Boxing Club, Bhim Maya Darnal, Sabina  Sundas, Sandhya Sapkota, Papu Sharma, Krishna Chettri and Shital Pradhan participated at the 20th Annual General Meeting of the Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association (SABA). The meeting was held at Eco Paradise, Mining, Rangpo. During the meeting, the association shared information about the achievements of Sikkimese boxers at both junior and senior national boxing levels. It was reported that Sikkimese boxers won a total of 64 medals during the 2022-23 season. The association also honoured and gave out SABA T-shirts to the attendees. The meeting was attended by boxing legends Jas Lal Pradhan and Sandhya Gurung, as well as coaches, guests from different districts, and young aspiring boxers.

The U25 Men’s team of Sikkim wins their match against Mizoram by 9 wickets today at Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo  in the Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy . Mizoram won the toss and choose to bat first and in the first innings Sikkim thrashed the opponent and restricted them to a total of 60 runs. MD Talim took 5 wickets conceding just 22 runs in 11 overs. Sikkim made 161 runs in the first innings where Saurav Kr Prasad made 33 runs, Anwesh Karan Sharma 31, Arun Chettri 21, Ingsho Limboo 19, and Pranesh Chettri 16. In the second innings, Sikkim built the pressure on the opponent by taking early wickets and were all-out for 135 runs giving the target of just 35 runs to win. 05.08.22: Suresh Tamang, President, Singtam Nagar Panchayat inaugurated the floor mat of Badminton Court at Indoor Sports Complex, Singtam. Other distinguished guests to attend the event included Mukesh Agarwal and Kishore Chettri (Councillors, SNP), Tinku Adhikari (President, Singtam Motor Transport Welfare Drivers Association), Ganesh Pradhan (Food Sub Inspector), LN Pradhan (President, SGREWA, Singtam), Gupta Subba, Madan Tamang and members of Singtam Badminton Club. 11.07.22: Prava Gazmer from Sirwani, Singtam wins a bronze medal at the 5th Youth Men & Women National Boxing Championship 2022 held at SRM University Kattankulathaur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In the semifinal bout, Prava lost in a close fight to Himachal Pradesh’s Boxer Kashis by 3-2 points in 48-50 kg weight categories. Sikkim ’s Ankur Mallik 's eight-wicket hauls in both the innings helped the Sikkim U-25 team defeat Arunachal Pradesh with 248 runs in the ongoing Col.C.K Nayudu Trophy held at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha . Nayudu Trophy” , defeating Nagaland on their third match of the league round by 174 runs today at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.   Sikkim won the toss and elected to bat first.
