26.01.22 : Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti joined the rest of India to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day with the release of Samiti's annual magazine 'The Voice' and SGSS Calendar 2022. Rohit Raj Maharaj, Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, the chief guest of the day unfurled the National Tricolour flag. The program was limited to the felicitation program and release of Samaj magazine, documentation of activities done by the Samiti since its establishment in 2009, and the new year calendar owing to the Covid pandemic. The Advisor to HCM released both the magazine and the calendar. SGSS Meritorious Scholarship for the session 2022 was awarded to Bisha Rai, daughter of Harka Rai, member of SGSS. She was handed over a cheque of Rs. 6000. The amount was sponsored by LN Pradhan, Advisor, SGSS.
