Shantinagar Sai Mandali organizes spiritual cum motivation camp

Singtam, June 10: Spiritual cum Motivational camp was organized by Shri Satya Sai Bhajan Mandali, Shantinagar at the premises of Shantinagar Gonpa today. Highlight of the day was the felicitation of Shri HN Sharma and Smt. Renu Sharma, the land donors of the Shantinagar Sai Mandir.   Discussions and talks on the spiritual significance and serving to God in an individual’s life were given emphasis on the day. Bhajan, aarati and ved mantra classes were also done. Distinguished speakers spoke on different topics related to Sri Satya Sai Baba and Bal Bikas. The artistic presentation of Bhajans in a dance form by the Bal Bikash students was highly appreciated. Shri Ramman Rai, the first Convener and Shri PP Upretti, the second Convener of Shri Satya Sai Bhajan Mandali, Shantinagar was also honoured.   Shri. Lingdum Monastery, also known as Ranka Monastery, is located approximately 20 kilometres (about 12 miles) from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, India.  The nearest railway station to Gangtok is in New Jalpaiguri (NJP), West Bengal, which is a major railhead connecting various parts of the country. From NJP, you can hire a taxi or use other local transport to reach Gangtok, and subsequently, the Lingdum Monastery. The closest airport to Gangtok is the Bagdogra Airport, situated near Siliguri in West Bengal. It's about 125 kilometres (around 78 miles) from Gangtok. From Bagdogra Airport, you can hire a taxi or take a pre-booked cab to travel to Gangtok. There are also helicopter services available from Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok for those who prefer a quicker mode of transportation.
