Parent Teacher Meeting organized at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

07.04.22: The 1st Parent Teacher Meeting for this new session was held at the Sakyong Chisopani JHS. Present on the occasion were OP Niroula (AEO -Khamdong BAC), Navin Rai (President - Chisopani GPU), Karuna Gurung (Panchayat), Himali Lamichaney (Coordinator - Khamdong BAC), Kanchan Tirwa (DEO), Bikash Rai (former SMC President), SMC members, guardians and staff of the school. Shital Pradhan, IC of the school welcomed the guest. PB Subba, the new Headmaster of the school was also welcomed on the occasion. Pradhan displayed samples of school ties, belts, and house dresses and asked for the consent of the parents. He further told about different initiatives started by the school. Navin Rai, President of Chisopani GPU told the gathered guardians to work towards the development of the school. PB Subba, the new Headmaster of the school also addressed the guardians. SGSS sanitizes Shantinagar

04.09.2020 SINGTAM: A sanitization program was conducted today at different places of Shantinagar both upper and lower region. The sanitation programme was led by Krishna Chhetri, President, Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti and volunteered by Amber Pradhan who did the sanitization. Different areas that were covered included ATTC hostel along the lower belt till the church, touching all the stairways that are usually used by people to cross the walkway or the highway above. On the upper Shantinagar, the sanitization was done from ATTC road to Petrol Pump that included the premises of Shantinagar monastery also.  Different people had come together to help the initiative taken by Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti. RGKA participants congratulated

SINGTAM, SEPTEMBER 24:   Mahesh Dahal, Headmaster of Sakyong Chisopani JHS, congratulated his students for successfully participating in the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan, which was held at Khamdong on September 18 and 19. A small program was held at the school premises, and the participating students were presented with medals. The GPU level Under 16 boys & girls sporting events had participants from Khamdong GPU, Simik Lingzey GPU, Sirwani- Chisopani GPU, and Dungdung-Thasa GPU falling under the Khamdong Block Administration. Boys and girls participated in boxing, archery, badminton, Kho-kho, and football games.  The students of Sakyong Chisopani JHS, representing Sirwani Chisopani JHS, won the football final, defeating their rival GPU team by two goals to one.  Roshna Gurung, a class vi student, placed first in an archery event. Diliram Sharma Neopany: an herbal practitioner from Aritar- Khamdong – (Part II)

Diliram Sharma Neopany said, in earlier days he used to regularly visit the forest and look for herbal plants but these days he has all the plants in his field. There was even a time when he used to ask for plants from Chiwabhanjyang, he said. He talked about a few names of the herbal plant that he had in his small field. Those plants included Hathjorra, Kaulo, Birray jhar, bhui champa, aleo vera and others that he used in his medicines. He has 31 herbal medicine used as powders that have to be eaten while 21 other herbal plants are used during the wrapping of the wounds. According to this herbal practitioner, for a broken or fractured bone patient below 45 years it usually takes 18 to 28 days to be cured and for people above 50 years old it takes over one and half months. He shows his confidence and makes me believe that he had done this before. Singtam: The first meeting of the 17 Khamdong-Singtam Tourism Development Service Cooperative Society Limited was held at Khamdong BAC today in presence of Panchayats, Contractors, teachers, local people, members of SDF youths and others.
