Namthang Rateypani Constituency set to organize its 1 st Nagi Pokhari Tourism & Organic Festival 2014-2015 from 31 st . Dec.   2014 to 2nd.Jan.2015 at constituency most visited & historical tourist place Nagi Pokhari. This first-of-its-kind festival in the constituency is the initiative of the Nagi Tourism Development Committee under the Chief Patron & Hon'ble Parliamentary Secretary cum area MLA Smt. Tilu Gurung.  The major attraction of this festival is tourism, which highlights the organic produce of the constituency to visitors. Traditional dances, food, Sikkim culture, short trekking, bird watching, short marathons, typical sports, typical fashion events, flower shows, etc., will be added features of this festival.

Vice President of Rangpo Nagar Panchayat Smt. Puspa Mishra was invited as a Chief Guest in the ongoing Late Man Rupa Gurung Memorial Volleyball Tournament "Hill Championship" at Majhitar, East Sikkim. First Semifinal being played between XI Gorkha Rifles Darjeeling vs Turuk United. Turuk reached the final in the trilling 5 setter encounter defeating XI GR.

Hon'ble MLA of Namthang Rateypani Constituency & Parliamentary Secretary Smt Tilu Gurung inaugurated the 3rd Late Man Rupa Gurung Memorial Volleyball Tournament "Hill Championship" at Majhitar under West Pendam Constituency. Present in the occasion Guest of Honour was West Pendam Gram Panchayat Unit President & ClC President Shri Pratap Singh Rai . Chief Guest lighted the lamp in the memory of Late Man Rupa Gurung. 2 minutes of silence prayer was observed. Ward Councillor, respected citizens were present at the occasion. Tournament organised by Majhitar Educated Unemployed Youth Cooperative Society. First match played between Turuk United vs Friends United. Turuk won with respectable scores.
