Mt. Zion Kidzee Singtam School patriciates at Br. Eric Rudum Quiz Competition, Darjeeling

The quiz team from Mt. Zion Kidzee Singtam School embarked on an enriching journey to Darjeeling , where they participated in the Br. Eric Rudum Quiz Competition held at St. Joseph's School, North Point . The team of Deepshika Gadaily, Tanishka Pradhan and Tsheoshang Chemi Tamang represented the school escorted by Sisir Chettri , Chairman and Anisha Mukhia , Principal of the school. This prestigious event was organized by St. Joseph's North Point School had a participation of 42 schools.

Aadrika Chettri, Class 8, Mount Zion School, Kidzee Singtam stood 2nd among the 8 Finalists on Nutshell Sikkim School Quiz held online on 4th August 2020. She is the daughter of Arjun Chettri Mijas and Uma Subba. The quiz was held on two rounds – Prelims and the Finals. Ninety-Seven students from different schools of Sikkim had participated in the competition. On the occasion, she has thanked the organizers of the Nutshell Sikkim School Quiz for organizing such a type of quiz competition for the students of Sikkim, especially during this lockdown. We got to learn much-needed educational knowledge through Nutshell, she said.   Aadrika has further thanked her respected Principal, Mt. Zion Kidzee, Singtam, her teachers, and her friends for inspiring her, reads the press release.

First lottery draw in Sikkim

FIRST IN SIKKIM  SERIES: The first lottery draws in Sikkim were held on April 4, 1972. The first prize was 1,00,000 and an ambassador vehicle, while the second prize was 10,000 and an air trip from India to America.    The winner of the first lottery draw, Mr. Ranchodbhai Nathabhai Parmar, was handed over the prize money by the Maharajkumari of Sikkim in the presence of Executive Councilors and other officials from Sikkim and India. Mr. Ranchodbhai Nathabhai Parmar was a resident of Baroda in the state of Gujarat in India.
