Rongli , 24th May 2020 : Social activist Rudra Narsing Sakya from Rongli Bazar today presented four set of PPE kits , two bottles of hand sanitizer, eleven numbers of N95 mask s and two numbers of Non-Contract Forehead Infrared Thermometers to different officials of Rongli. The presentation of these materials was done at the premises of Rongli Police Station, maintaining social distancing in presence of PR Dulal , SDM , Rongli Sub-Division. The materials donated the officials included – Bhim Pradhan (BDO, Regu BAC), Dr. T. N. Sherpa (Medical Officer Incharge, Rongli PHC), Tashi C. SINGTAM, SEPTEMBER 6:  NEWA, a documentary based on the Newar Language and Culture produced by Badhaichha Creation, Singtam, was officially released at the Production House Office at Singtam.  Mohan Pradhan ‘Neeraj,’ Sansthapak and Singtam Basibiyalo clicked the video file that was uploaded to YouTube.  Present on the occasion were Praveen Pradhan, Managing Director, Badhaichha Creation, and his members, including Bikash Pradhan, Shital Pradhan, Pramod Pradhan, Pranay Pradhan, and others.  NEWA documentary will be released at the Indra Jatra celebration on September 8th at Golitar, Singtam. The documentary features Uttam Pradhan, a famed actor in Nepali cinema, along with Newari dance performers from Dentam Sakha Guthi. SINGTAM, SEPTEMBER 4: Badhaichha Creation, Singtam, has created a documentary aptly named “NEWA” based on Newar Language and Culture. The documentary will be officially released on the auspicious occasion of Indra Jatra at Singtam. Indra Jatra, the biggest festival of the Newar community, is being held for the first time outside Gangtok. The event was held under Sikkim Newar Guthi and organized by the Indra Jatra Celebration Committee 2014. Praveen Pradhan, managing director of Badhaichha Creation, Singtam, said in a press release, "We have considered this project, keeping in mind that we need to conserve our culture and traditions. We feel proud to say that Sikkim is the only region in the world where the Newar language is recognized as an official state language, and for that, we shall always remain grateful to the Chief Minister of Sikkim." SINGTAM, AUGUST 5: Praveen Pradhan (Managing Director), Bikash Pradhan and Shital Pradhan of Badhaichha Creation, Singtam along with Biren Lama of White Horse Production, Gangtok visited the residence of Uttam Pradhan on the evening of August 4 and congratulated him for becoming the Chairman of Sikkim Music, Drama, Dance, and Film Board.  He was offered Khadas by both the members of the Production House. Pradhan, in return, thanked everyone and assured them to work with better creativity in days to come.

SINGTAM, DECEMBER 19:  Singtam Basibiyalo and Singtam Newar Kalyan Sangathan had jointly congratulated Praveen Pradhan, Managing Director Badhaichha Creation, Singtam for being felicitated by the Sikkim State Aids Control Society at MG Marg, Gangtok. SINGTAM, SEPTMBER 24:  Youth Intervention under Multi Media Campaign 2013-14 for the schools of East Sikkim started from Chisopani JHS today. The program was organized by Red Ribbon Club Badhaichha Creation under Sikkim State AIDS Control Society, Gangtok.  Present on the occasion was Mahesh Dahal, Headmaster Chisopani JHS and his staff along with Mohan Pradhan, Headmaster Sawney Primary School who was invited by the Chisoani JHS as a guest for the programme. SINGTAM, JULY 20: The grand finale of “Sikkim’s No.1 Dancer 2012-13”, Search for the Sikkim’s best solo dancer for the Junior and Senior categories concluded at Singtam Community Hall on July 18. Mingma Sherpa from Namchi won the title of “Sikkim’s No.1 Dancer” for the Senior Category, while Om Prakash Sewa from Changey, Pakyong was adjudged the winner of the Junior Category. A group dance performance from Step Dance Sensation Academy, Namchi, dedicated to the Uttrakhand nature tragedy, was the major highlight of the day and was highly appreciated by the gathered audience.    Prashant Pradhan and Gyaltsen Bhutia, both from Gangtok, were awarded 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Second Runner-Up in the Senior Category. Bermoik Tshlamthang is half hour drive from Singtam. This silent village holds a special place in the historical legacy of Sikkim. Here lies a century year old three storey traditional nepali house that has witnessed the transformation of the small Himalayan kingdom of Sikkim to the democratic state of mighty Indian Union. Gopi Chandra Subba, the present day owner of the house had told that he had bought this house from Bishnu Chandra Sapkota in 1969. He said that an elderly local from Bermoik at his ripe age of 95 who is still alive had said that he had heard about this house in his childhood, which makes this house as old as 160 years, told Subba. The specialty of this heritage house is that no nails had been used during its construction. The materials then used were mud and wood. Some 8 years back Culture Department had given a grant of Rs 50000 and during 18/7 Sikkim Earthquake they did received a grant of Rs. 30000.
