Sikkim girl Devanshi Agarwal scores 97.8 % in class xii exams

Devanshi Agarwal, a daughter of Singtam studying at Ecole Globale International Girl’s School, Dehradun has brought laurel to her state of Sikkim. She has scored 97.8% in her class XII board examinations. She was among the Humanities Stream toppers with History (99 marks), English (98 marks), Political Science (97 marks), Psychology (95 marks), Geography (92 marks) and (100 marks) in Painting. Speaking on the occasion, the proud Devanshi Agarwal says, after the entire pandemic mishap, this wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support of my parents. PRIDE OF SINGTAM 03 – DEVANSHI AGARWAL

In 2018, Devanshi Agarwal was in national news when she won five gold medals and a bronze medal only in her second tournament - 17th Uttrakhand Open State Shooting Championship. Since then this shooting talent has no looking back; more than 20 National medals on her side and representing India at the Czech Republic and Germany. A student of Ecole Globale International Girl’s School, Dehradun, Devanshi had added another laurel to her achievement. In her Class X CBSE result she has scored 95.25 % and a subject topper in English and Painting with 99 and 98 marks. She further went on to score 94 mark in Social Studies and 90 in Hindi. She is the daughter of Sanket Agarwal and Sonia Agarwal; grand-daughter of Raghubir Agarwal and Nirmala Devi Agarwal. Many many congratulation to Devanshi. Sikkim’s Devanshi Agarwal shines at 18th Uttarakhand Open Shooting Championship

SINGTAM, SEPTEMBER 3 : Sikkim’s shooting talent Devanshi Agarwal bags a rich haul of thirteen medals for her Ecole Global International Girls’ School, Dehradun in the 18th Uttarakhand Open State Level Shooting Championship. The championship was held at Jaspal Rana Shooting Range, Dehradun, from 25 to 31 August. Her medal tally included two gold, six silver and five bronze. She was declared the highest individual medalist of the school.  Speaking to Sanket Agarwal, father of Devanshi Agarwal at Singtam, he has praised the efforts of the school for making a big impact at the event. The participating students of Ecole went on to grab 98 medals in 22 events they had participated. Sikkim shooting daughters’ bags 4 gold for Ecoles

SINGTAM, AUGUST 26: Two girls from Sikkim, Tussita Rai bagged three gold and silver and Devanshi Agarwal bagged gold and two silver for their Ecole Globale International Girl’s School, Dehradun.   The girls was among the shooting team of Ecoles that was participating at the 16th Uttarakhand Inter School State Shooting Championship held at Rana Shooting Range from 16th to 18th August. The shooting team of Ecole bagged a total of 56 medals, comprising of 34 Gold, 15 Silver and 7 Bronze medals. Tussita Rai is from Gangtok and a daughter of CB Rai while Devanshi Agarwal is a daughter of Sanket Agarwal from Singtam.

Devanshi makes her International Air Rifle debut for India at Czech and Germany; first Sikkimese to do so

SINGTAM, MAY 21:  Devanshi Agarwal, a Sikkim-born teenage shooting talent, participated in her first International Tournament held in the Czech Republic and Germany.  In her 10 m Air Rifle Women Junior, she bettered her own personal achievement with 612.8 points and secured 34th position at the International Shooting Competition (under 21) at Hanover, Germany, held on May 3-12.  She was one of the youngest participants (aged 15) in the tournament, which featured 96 participants from 38 different countries. Earlier, at the 50th Grand Prix of Liberation held in Plzen, Czech Republic, she scored 608.5 points. Speaking from her hometown, Singtam, Devanshi says it was her proudest moment to wear the Indian jersey and play for the country. That moment cannot be described in words. Born to Sanket Agarwal and Sonia Agarwal at Singtam, she is 14 years old and studying at Ecole Globale International Girl’s School, Dehradun. Unlike her father and her grandfather Raghubir Agarwal, both accomplished businessmen; she took up Air Rifle shooting sport at her school at Dehradun. Meet Devanshi Agarwal who made history last August in the 17th Uttrakhand Open State Shooting Championship 2018 held at Poudha. She went on to win five gold medals and a bronze medal, most by any individual. Believe me, it was Devanshi’s second tournament she had participated. Despite being a sensation at her game, shooting event is rarely heard in Sikkim. The success story of Devanshi should inspire the youngsters of our state into this sporting event.
