GANGTOK, May 17: The celebration of 33rd statehood of Sikkim brought with it a double treat to Sikkim Express, with two of its journalists Ms Sarikah Atreya and Nirmal Mangar acknowledged as ‘best upcoming journalist’ by the State Government. The two journalists were awarded with a citation and cash award of Rs 25,000 each from the hands of the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at Chintan Bhawan along with seven other individuals for their contributions and excellence in different fields. Ms Sarikah Atreya, the Associate Editor of Sikkim Express, is also the Sikkim correspondent to The Hindu Business Line.
