Dongeythang Primary School Celebrates Shriya Tamang's World Book of Records Achievement

15.08.24 : Dongeythang Government Primary School had the honour of presenting the World Book of Records, London certificate to Miss Shriya Tamang, a former student currently studying in Class 6 at Sonamati SSS. Shri N.B. Dahal, Hon’ble Minister of Roads and Bridges, Government of Sikkim, and Area MLA, handed over the certificate. Last year, Shriya, then a Class 5 student of Dongeythang Primary School, represented Sikkim at the nonstop 24-hour national webinar “#ProjectSaakshar," organized by NIFAA. Among over 300 participants, she delivered a speech on "How to Educate Underprivileged Children." This event was confirmed as a World Record, and Shriya was recognized for participating.

11 members of Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti donates blood at Samvedna Camp

23.03.21: Eleven members of Shantinagar Gaon Sudhar Samiti donated their blood at the Samvedna International Blood and Plasma Donation Camp 2021 at District Hospital Singtam. Out of eleven; two of them were women. The program was organised by NIFAA (National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists) India and co-organised by NIFAA Sikkim state (Singtam Branch).      On the occasion, SGSS was also presented with a memento and a certificate for the generous support towards NIFAA Sikkim during the camp. The memento was presented by Praveen Pradhan, President NIFAA Sikkim.      Krishna Chettri, President SGSS, an AB Negative blood group belonging to the rare blood group was asked to stay prepared any time by the blood bank officers, so he did not have his blood donated today. The blood-donated members of SGSS included - Dr. Ajeet Kr. Pranami, Maiya Chettri, Dhiraj Pradhan, Nikhil Sundas, Suman Sunar, SagarSunar, Bikash Subba, Tulashi Uppretty, Anand Lamichaney...

Samvedna Coordination meet held at Singtam

  March 1, Singtam : The final coordination meeting for the upcoming Samvedna event was attended by NIFAA State Executive members, Krishna Chettri - President SGSS, Kripesh Singh - President KASS, TR Baniya - Lower Lingchey Uttam Samaj, Md Zamil - President United Front, Gangtok and others. The meet was held at Nepali Dharamsala, Singtam.   The major highlight of the meeting was talk on Samvedna, a nationwide blood and plasma donation awareness campaign. The campaign shall be held on March 23, 2021 in 28 states and 8 Union Territories of India. More than 90,000 units of blood is expected to be collected from 1500 different venues of India. The campaign is also for an attempt at Guinness Book of World Record, told Bikash Pradhan, Chief Coordinator, NIFAA Sikkim Unit. He further said the event commemorates the 90th anniversary of Martyrs' Day of Saheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. NIFAA Sikkim State meeting held at Namthang

Singtam, December 16: NIFAA Sikkim State held its first coordination meeting of ‘ Samvedna ’ at Namthang , South Sikkim on December 15, 2020. The meeting was attended by Bikash Pradhan, Chief Coordinator, Praveen Pradhan, President, Krishna Chettri, General Secretary Kishore Baniya, Srijana Chetti and other members of NIFAA. SB Rai, Treasurer, NIFAA Sikkim State was the chairperson of the meeting.      The major highlight of the meeting was talk on Samvedna, a nationwide blood and plasma donation awareness campaign. NIFAA Sikkim State left for Tripura Harmony 2018

Singtam , December 21 :   Twenty-four m embers of the National Integrated Forum of Artist and Activists ( NIFAA )  Sikkim State left for the Tripura Harmony 2018 event early this morning from NJP Railway Station . The theme of the event is the Tribal-State of India and is organised by NIFAA Tripura State .   Si kkim Team was  led by Praveen Pradhan , President, NIFAA Sikkim.  The  members of NIFAA shall be participating in the big cultural extravaganza  that will feature cultural youth teams participation from more than twenty states and foreign countries too.   Pradhan had said this is the first event that NIFAA Sikkim State is participating in.  The Harmony 2018 will be held from 21 - 29, December 2018 at Agartala , Tripura . The event will have cultural programmes. Sikkim cultural team shall have five colourful tribal dances  along with the exhibition of  crafts and pickles , added Pradhan .
