Prakash Sundas sings for a Kollywood film

SINGTAM: Badhaichha Creation and Singtam Basibiyalo have congratulated Prakash Sundas, a singing sensation from Gangtok for his first recording of a Nepali feature film song.  Sundas had returned from Kathmandu a few days back after recording his song for a feature film Sheesha. The film is produced by Uma Baby, a famed Nepali cine actress cum producer from Sikkim. Saroj Khetri is the director of the movie while Sushil Saha is the sound recordist and Lucky Sitaula, is the music director.  Praveen Pradhan, Managing Director of Badhaichha Creation, and Mohan Pradhan “Neeraj”, Sansthapak, Singtam Basibiyalo said it is a proud moment for us to see Prakash Bhai scale a step of success further. Sargam Sikkim singers entertains Pre Sangmo Gandhi Jayanti Celebration crowds

SINGTAM, OCTOBER 1 : Sangmo Gandhi Jayanti Celebration Committee organized a musical night on the evening of September 30 at Sangmo school premises. Sargam Sikkim contestants Prakash Sundas and Sushila Rai were the two singers that entertained the crowds that were more than couple of hundreds in numbers. Prakash Sundas, the singer has thanked the organizers, local crowds and Prakash Rai the most for an opportunity to perform at the stage. People enjoyed my songs and they also danced, said thrilled Sundas. Prakash Rai was the host of the evening event that lasted for few hours.

Singer Prakash Sundas with popular Nepali Singer Kunti Moktan

The last day of the 5th Lampokhari Paryatan 2011 saw a musical evening with Kunti Moktan. A legendary singer Kunti Moktan sang a dozen song that made four thousand odd crowds dance to her song. Prakash Sundas was the only singer from Sikkim on that night to share the stage with Kunti Moktan. It is an achievement for this young boy to come this far.

Dalapchand, April 13: The second day of the Lampokhari Paryatan 2011 Festival saw Pooja Pariyar winning the Miss Lamphokari Beauty Pageant 2011 while Singer Prakash Sundas, an Indian Idol aspirant and winner of Namchi Mahotsav 2010 entertained the over two thousand crowds with his songs in the highly anticipated late evening show. 30th Basibiyalo exchanges cultural extravaganza

SNGTAM: The 30 th edition of the famed monthly literary and cultural meet of Basibiyalo at Singtam added a new chapter in their progress with 12-year-old Ketan Mangla, from Rangpo reciting a poem in Hindi language and Kashmira Pradhan, a teenager singer from Gangtok rendering a heart touching English version of classic Celine Dion’s title track from the film Titanic.  Popular singer and anchor Remanti Rai from Gangtok made her first public appearance at Singtam as a singer, along with a couple of new female debutants in the singing field. Singtam NGO celebrates Prakash Sundas’s triumph

  Members of SPARK, a local NGO from Singtam bazaar, had a get-together on November 1 to celebrate the success of its member Prakash Sundas, who had won the singing competition at the recently concluded Namchi Mahotsav 2010, held on 28-30 October at Bhaichung Stadium, Namchi. It should be noted that Prakash Sundas is a lone participant of the Indian Idol 5 from Sikkim who went through Mumbai round this year. Prakash Sundas was welcomed by Praveen Pradhan, President of SPARK, at the SPARK Office. Speaking on the occasion Praveen Pradhan told that Prakash Sundas’s triumph should not be considered a small achievement, a winner is always a winner whether the competition is held at smaller or in larger scale.
