Temple of Sikkim : Seti Singha Devi Mandir, Bardang Seti Singha Devi Mandir, Bardang ,  is a roadside Hindu temple near  Singtam . It is 3 km from  Singtam  on the Rangpo-Singtam Highway, adjacent to the  Bardang  motorable tunnel. The temple was established in 1996. The mandir committee regularly holds religious programs  at this temple.

Singtam: An annual meeting of Singtam Newar Kalyan Sangathan was held on December 21, 2009, at Bihari Dharamsala at Singtam. A day-long function was held that discussed various topics for the betterment of the community. The new resolution passed in the meeting included a major presence of the Newari women from Singtam in the organisation towards a better society. Also included in the talks was the encouragement of the Newari language and Newari customs among the people. Newari members from Golitar, Manpari Busty, Sirwani, Toppakhani, Sang Khola, Bardang, Sawaney, Shanti Colony, Lal Bazaar, Mandir Line and Shantinagar attended the meeting. The organisation's new portfolio was also presented on the given day. The new body has TB Pradhan as the President, Saran Pradhan as Vice President, Mohan Pradhan “Neeraj” as General Secretary, BB Pradhan as Joint Secretary, Bikash Pradhan as Treasurer, Uday Pradhan as Store Secretary, Shital Pradhan and Ganesh Pradhan as Publicity Secretary, ...

Old photographs do take you to those bygone days and one such moment was when Tashi Lama, one of my very good friends from Singtam sent me an old school photograph. He was a class junior to me at East Point English School at Singtam now more famous and upgraded to East Point SSS. Tashi sent me two photographs and both of them were more than nostalgic for me and I do remember that particular moment. The dance program was performed by the school students during the 1990 Independence Day at Singtam Mandi Bazaar. The ground is no more here, instead a shopping complex has been erected. In almost 19 years I have forgotten the names of a few guys who were dancing then. The two people that really excited me in the photograph were Sapna Verma and Pem Tshring Bhutia. Thanks to the internet, I came across Sapna after more than 18 years this late winter and it was more than pleasure exchanging scraps with her. ATTC, Bardang - front view The establishment of the Advanced Technical Training Centre (ATTC) is one of the major initiatives that is taken by the Government of Sikkim for the development of technical education in the State. The curriculum offered by this polytechnic has been framed by Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) Bangalore. ATTC has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 Quality Systems Certification by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). The establishment of this polytechnic is designed to address the need for employable skills to be imbibed among the youth of the State. This will address the major constraint for development in the State as also for seeking potential employment outside the State.
