GANGTOK, February 14: For the movie freaks in the Capital, watching the latest Bollywood releases in the theatres may come with a heavier price tag. Cinema Halls in the Capital-both Denzong and Vajra Cinema will soon introduce new rates for movie tickets. The price for an executive berth has gone up to as high as Rs 110 from the existing Rs 70, and the Balcony rates will now be priced at Rs 85 from their earlier price of Rs 50. While the tariff for the rear circle stands at Rs 55 from Rs 30, the tickets for the front circle have been fixed at Rs 30. The cinema hall operators in the Capital had last year asked the concerned State Department for a hike in the movie tickets citing a rise in prices quoted from film distributors in Mumbai.
