Odhare Not only is it old, but the very existence of the Himalayan land of Sikkim is looked upon more as being a part of ancient times. The archaeological findings of different Neolithic tools in this part of the Himalayas over the last six decades speak of its antiquity . It may be of little importance to many. However, findings of various Neolithic tools from remote pockets in Sikkim over the past five decades have still collected vivid interest among people beyond this region.  NEWS FIRST PUBLISHED ON SIKKIM EXPRESS (15/03/07) NEWS BY SHITAL PRADHAN Passenger Reservation System (PRS) was opened at Singtam SNT Office on 15/03/07. The opening function was graced by Dr C. Ethenpa, Chief Medical Officer, District Hospital, Singtam as Chief Guest. Senior citizens, local leaders, Govt. Officials and the officers from the Telephone Exchange, Singtam, 60 in numbers were present on the occasion.  Shri L. N. Pradhan, Jt. October 5th, Day 1:  Even a 5.30 am drive from Dalapchand was not enough for us (the Bee Fest Team from Dalapchand SS) to reach the venue at TNA, Gangtok, on time for the opening ceremony of the Bee Fest 2012. It was already 10 am when we reached there. There was excitement and anxiety mixed in the looks of our small group. I told my students we were doing our best and we would all enjoy the moment of being part of the of-its-kind Bee Fest 2012, an inter-school scholastic competition to be held in our state of Sikkim. Sushil Rai, a 13-year-old from class viii from Dalapchand SS, the same student who had been featured in my earlier article on Bee Fest, was the youngest in our group. Sushil Rai is the son of my house owner and I had been knowing him since I joined Dalapchand Secondary School last year. A standard eight student but unlike his other age group students, I have hardly seen Sushil rubbing with his friend’s shoulder in any form of sporting activity. A shy persona, restricted to his own separate innovative world. I have at home seen him most of the time working with screwdrivers, electrical kits, or sometimes using carpenter tools making him busy, far from others.  Watching Sushil, I am more often reminded of a television character ‘Lekhu’ from the serial Lekhu that used to be aired on the Doordarshan channel during my school days. I appreciate this little prodigy’s sincere approach toward his creative realm. Without anyone’s help, he had been trying to redefine his creative thoughts.
