The quiz team from Mt. Zion Kidzee Singtam School embarked on an enriching journey to Darjeeling , where they participated in the Br. Eric Rudum Quiz Competition held at St. Joseph's School, North Point . The team of Deepshika Gadaily, Tanishka Pradhan and Tsheoshang Chemi Tamang represented the school escorted by Sisir Chettri , Chairman and Anisha Mukhia , Principal of the school. This prestigious event was organized by St. Joseph's North Point School had a participation of 42 schools.

  Aradhana Hindi film gave to the world a new star in Rajesh Khanna. The beauty of Darjeeling mesmerized the cine watchers. Amidst all this, my fantasy lay in a Numer Plate used in the vehicle that Rajesh Khanna drives in most of the shot. The number plate read - SKM 701. Oh My God, that’s Sikkim's Number Plate !! When I first shared this fantastic coincidence on my Facebook page, Kazeeman Chhetri, one of the readers, commented. This Willy Jeep was owned by the late Krishna Chandra Pradhan of the Development Area, Gangtok. He further wrote that during his school days in  the 1970s, this vehicle used to be parked near his residence.

SINGTAM, APRIL 30: Singamari, a Darjeeling-based hobby-promoting organization, Alpine Philatelic and Numismatic Society (APNS) set out their second phase of appreciating the Covid-19 warriors. With the motive of thanking the unsung warriors of the current situation, they met and acknowledged the Bankers and the Banking Sector on the 28 th  of April 2020. SINGTAM, APRIL 23: Alpine Philatelic and Numismatic Society (APNS), Darjeeling felicitated the members of the Darjeeling Press Guild, Singamari Town Out-Post, and the General Post Office, Darjeeling on April 22, 2020. The society offered khadas, tokens of gratitude, gloves, hand sanitizers, and masks to express their gratitude for the dedicated service provided by the Police Department, Postal Service, and the Print and Electronic media.
