05.01.25, Singtam: Prajna Tamang, a talented seven-year-old from Challamthang, has won the Junior Category of Sikkim Dancing Star Season III. The event at Jorethang Community Hall showcased young dancers' outstanding skills, but Prajna stood out with her patriotic and energetic performances. She was mentored by Viki Tamang at VMatrix Dance Academy, Singtam. Gurash Baniya and Divya Rasaily were the instructors for her dance songs. In a related event, Gurash Baniya from Sirwani Ghatay Khola secured the 1st Runner-Up title in Stage Dream Season 2 at Sarumsa, Ranipool. With five years of dedicated training at VMatrix Dance Academy, Singtam, under mentor Viki Tamang, Gurash captivated the audience with her stunning performances. The event was held at Sarumsa, Ranipool.

SINGTAM, NOVEMBER 9: A Newa Online Folk Dance Competition organized by Newa Bhay BownekKuthi (NBB), Singtam Sakha, was held at Nepali Dharamsala with a  limited crowd maintaining the health protocol.  Esmrite Pradhan (Dentam Sakha Guthi) was adjudged the winner, followed by Akriti Pradhan (Tadong) and Rabina Pradhan (Namchi Sakha Guthi) as 1 st and 2 nd Runner Ups. In a small function held at Singtam, Bhanu Pradhan, OSD to HCM, was the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Kiran Pradhan (President - Dentam Sakha Guthi), Mahindra Pradhan (Treasurer - Sikkim Newar Guthi), Chandni Pradhan (cine actress), representative of different Sakha, and others. A two-minute silence was observed on the death of COVID warriors and COVID patients across Sikkim and the globe. Singtam, 03/09/2018: The final audition of the open Talent Hunt Show comes to an end magnificently in Singtam. A total of 106 contestants participated in different categories like singing, dancing, beatbox, painting, acting, poem and short plays. Contestants were from different age groups with 5 years being the smallest among them. Apart from Singtam, there was participation from Guwahati (Assam), Jaigaon (West Bengal), Rongli, Regu, Pakyong, Tumin, Lingee, Sawney, Namcheybong, Martam, Namchi, Dalapchand, Duga, Makha, Temi Tarku, Nandok, Beyong, Majhitar, etc. Out of 106 participants, 56 contestants qualified for the quarter-finals. The chief guest for the day was Dilip Kumar Pradhan, Chairman of IJC 2018 along with Shri T.B.Pradhan, Shawan Kr. Pradhan, President, Singtam Nagar Panchyat and C.P. Pradhan as special guests. SINGTAM, JULY 09:  The 202nd Bhanu Jayanti Celebration kicks off at Singtam with Inter-School and Open Competitions for Ramayan Path and Nepali Poetry held at Community Hall, Singtam, on July 9. Similarly, the Nepali folk dance competitions will be completed the next day, July 10. The top three winners of the Ramayan Path, Poetry, and Nepali Folk Dance Competition will perform at the July 13 th Bhanu Jayanti celebration to be held at Singtam Bazaar. Sonam Dadul Bhutia, MLA of Tashiding Constituency, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. SINGTAM, JULY 09:   The grand finale of the “Sikkim’s No. 1 Dancer”, a state level solo dance competition organized by Badhaichha Creation, Singtam is scheduled to be held on July 18, 2013 at Community Hall, Singtam.
